Overview
Extended services interns will assist IRC’s intensive case management (ICM) team, extended case management (ECM) team, and services for older refugees program (SOR) with daily activities that support the long-term integration of refugees, asylees and other humanitarian immigrants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with remotely arranging transportation to medical and other required appointments.
- Conduct virtual home or community-based orientation sessions on topics relevant to ICM, ECM and SOR clients.
- Assist with service documentation through case-notes and case file maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Prior experience and/or interest working with refugees and immigrants preferred.
- Prior experience and/or interest in case management, social work or public health preferred.
