Internship with the Finance Unit Mitigation Branch, Climate Change Division, supporting the implementation of programmes, development of proposals, and research for publications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of on-going Unit programmes.
  • Support the development of presentations for meetings and project proposals.
  • Support the development of analysis, briefings, minutes, and presentations for workshops and seminars.
  • Research and analysis in preparation for publications.
  • Support development of communication outreach material.
  • Support the general organization of events.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Preferred Area of Study: Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Finance, International Relations, Environmental Policy, Economics, Development or a related field.
  • Fully proficient computer skills and use of web-based platforms and relevant software e.g. word processing, PowerPoint, excel, internal databases, Internet etc.

Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
