Overview
This internship is in the Policy and Planning Unit within the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs. The intern will conduct research and policy analysis, assist in preparing written products, and help organize events and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend meetings, events, and conferences and draft summary reports, minutes, notes, and outline follow-up actions.
- Conduct research and policy analysis within the areas of the Unit’s interest, including on emerging issues in international peace and security, multilateralism, diplomacy, and international affairs.
- Assist in preparing reports, concept papers, policy documents, talking points, articles, presentations and other materials, including through research, drafting, and cataloguing information and analyzing data.
- Assist in organizing events, both online and on-site, providing support for tasks associated with event planning, administration, coordination, and logistics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

Qualifications
- be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
