Overview
This internship focuses on information coordination, reporting, and management within the Strategic Planning and Inter-Agency Affairs Unit. The intern will support the Unit's work by contributing to documentation, research, and coordination efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to drafting and preparation of UN and UNODC publications, briefing notes, background notes, reports, internal documents, presentations, correspondences, talking points, and speeches;
- Maintain a repository of information, ensuring its accuracy, accessibility, and utility;
- Support research and coordination for UNODC’s contributions to Secretary-General’s reports, Human Rights Council reports, and system-wide requests;
- Respond to requests from other UN entities, Office of the Executive Director, or Director of Policy Analysis and Public Affairs;
- Support the design and layout of infographics, web pages, and presentations;
- Assist with technical/ICT arrangements for webinars or hybrid events.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); OR enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Teams.
