Child Nutrition & Development Officer

Overview

Support the implementation of multisectoral nutrition and Early Childhood Development (ECD) activities in Pakistan. Liaise with government, donors, UN agencies, and NGOs for policy planning, advocacy, implementation, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Support coordination of Early Childhood Development and Multisectoral Nutrition activities.
• Organize regular ECD technical working group meetings.
• Assist with activities pertinent to ECD & Multisectoral Nutrition for MoPD&SI.
• Prepare regular reports and maintain records.
• Support government in nutrition and child development programs monitoring.
• Collect and analyze data, information management and KM document preparation.
• Support partnership building with alliances, networks, CSOs, Academia & researchers.
• Support capacity building of local partners and stakeholders on parenting-ECD.
• Contribute to the learning and innovative agenda on nutrition and child development.

Required Experience

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas is required: Nutrition, Child Development, Public Health, Nutrition & Child Development Planning, and Management. Experience in nutrition/public health programme/early child development project development and management in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.

Qualifications

University degree in one of the following fields is required: Public Health, Nutrition, Health Science, Epidemiology, Child Development, or relevant science fields.
