Overview

Responsible for the overall implementation and quality assurance of integrated protection programming in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, covering Child Protection, General Protection, and Gender-Based Violence. Provides technical leadership and supervision to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and quality assurance of integrated protection emergency programming (CP, General Protection, GBV).
  • Develop and monitor detailed implementation plans for emergency grants.
  • Ensure all programming adheres to protection standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide technical oversight to case management teams and psychosocial support teams.
  • Identify and escalate protection trends and risks.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting (databases, Activity Info, internal and external reports).
  • Represent IRC in emergency coordination forums.
  • Lead all emergency reporting, including donor reports, situation reports, and protection trend analysis.
  • Identify response gaps and contribute to emergency proposal development.
  • Provide daily and weekly updates on emergency response progress.
  • Ensure accurate, timely data collection and reporting.
  • Supervise and support team members, including case management officers and PSS staff.
  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Promote staff well-being and ensure adequate team coverage.
  • Oversee administrative, logistical, and financial processes.
  • Provide ongoing technical support on case management and PSS.
  • Conduct regular team meetings.
  • Provide field-level coaching and technical support.
  • Monitor safety and security of field teams and report incidents.
  • Ensure service quality through monitoring, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in humanitarian or development settings
  • Strong experience in emergency protection programming
  • Proven technical expertise in case management and psychosocial support
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams in high-pressure emergency contexts
  • Strong reporting and communication skills
Qualifications

• University degree in Social Work, Human Rights, Law, Protection, or a related field (master’s preferred)
