Overview

Two Public Partnerships interns will support the PPR North America and IFIs Pillar team in Washington, D.C. to deepen collaboration with key stakeholders and enhance UNICEF's visibility and influence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on various topics, develop briefing documents and external materials.
  • Cover events and key meetings, preparing summary reports.
  • Support UNICEF’s liaison with the Legislative and Executive Branches of the US government.
  • Provide support in strategic engagement with external partners, including foreign missions, think tanks, US Government agencies, and International Financial Institutions.
  • Assist with the management of UNICEF-USG grant agreements and reporting requirements.
  • Support the promotion of UNICEF programmes by preparing information for internal teams and external partners.
  • Contribute to knowledge management by maintaining and updating partner information and materials.
  • Conduct research on prospective new partnership engagements and provide related analysis and outreach.
Qualifications

• Must be enrolled, within the past year, in a graduate degree program with a preferred major in international relations, political science, communications, international development, or another relevant technical field.

Languages Required
• Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of other UN working languages is an asset.
Contract Duration
• 6 months • 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027
Work Modality
• hybrid approach- with a combination of in-person work in UNICEF’s K-Street office, as well as remote working on days agreed with the Manager.
Remuneration
• The candidate will receive a stipend during the internship.
