Overview
The Senior Field Security Associate will provide specialized support to enable IOM’s activities and assist with all aspects of security risk management. The role supports the Chief of Mission in establishing and maintaining security awareness and implementing field activities in accordance with security guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain working relationships with UNDSS, host government agencies, and local authorities.
- Collect, update, and communicate information regarding the security situation.
- Support the development and implementation of security/movement plans, contingency plans, and SOPs.
- Conduct field assessments of project locations/access/risks and provide operational guidance.
- Provide advice on Residential Security Measures (RSM).
- Support the management of the Country Office and Field/Project Offices Warden system.
- Assist in reporting security incidents and preparing security reports.
- Organize and conduct training courses on security awareness and preparedness.
- Maintain an orderly filing system for confidential correspondence and security files.
- Implement IOM Cambodia security measures and verify access control procedures.
- Provide assistance in the conduct and follow-up of investigations and incidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- University degree with four years of relevant professional experience; or
- Completed High School degree with six years of relevant professional experience.
- Relevant professional experience in the humanitarian, public, private or corporate sector is desirable.
- Experience in security programmes, risk assessments, or analysis is desirable.
- Experience in operational security risk management, investigations or physical security is desirable.
- Experience in the use of radio communications is desirable.
Qualifications
- University degree in Security, Social Sciences, International Studies, Communications or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution.
- Successful completion of the UNDSS Field Security Associate (FSA) course is desirable.
