Overview
The role involves conducting substantive research and economic analysis related to the ESCWA Skills Monitor, labor markets, and economic growth, with a focus on the Fourth Industrial Revolution's impact on jobs and skills in ESCWA countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct substantive research in areas related to the 'Future of Work' Project, including literature review.
- Update Economic analysis on the Skills Monitor results monthly.
- Conduct data analysis using data from the ESCWA Skills Monitor and government hubs.
- Provide Economic analysis for countries' technical assistance.
- Conduct Skills Gap assessments.
- Assist in technical assistance to Arab countries, including developing concept notes, training material, and policy research.
Required Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in economics, social science, statistics, or a related area is required.
- Knowledge in Machine learning is desirable.
- Experience in household surveys is desirable.
- Experience in firm level survey is desirable.
- Experience in Big Data analysis is desirable.
- Proven experience in economic data analysis is desirable.
- Proven experience in presentation is desirable.
- Proven experience in drafting is desirable.
- Proven experience in visualization is desirable.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in economics, social science, statistics, or a related area is required.
- A master’s degree is desirable.
