Overview

The Associate Communications Officer/Content Creator is responsible for supporting the development and execution of communication strategies to promote the organization's advocacy, visibility, and fundraising objectives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to gathering insights and analysis from media monitoring to inform communications strategy.
  • Contribute to the implementation of communications strategies to raise awareness and drive engagement.
  • Contribute to the creation of compelling content optimized for various platforms.
  • Contribute to the development and coordination of strategic communications partnerships.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in communications and emerging technologies.
  • Create and moderate engaging content tailored for social media and digital platforms.
  • Assist in the development of creative campaign concepts, content, and materials.
  • Assist in ensuring communication and campaign materials effectively convey the organization's impact and comply with standards.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in communications, international relations, or other relevant areas is required, or the successful completion of the Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP), United Nations National Competitive Recruitment Examination (NCRE) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P).
  • Knowledge of Digital Design is required.
  • Skills in developing creative content is required.
Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in communications, journalism, international relations, digital communications or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A first-level university degree and no experience will be accepted for candidates who have passed the Young Professionals Programme Examination/United Nations National Competitive Recruitment Examination (NCRE) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P).
