Overview
The consultant will strategically activate and optimize social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook platforms to increase growth and engagement with targeted audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce strategic and engaging social media content and campaigns for Initiative's channels (Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook).
- Accelerate audience growth and engagement across all channels.
- Ensure growth and timely production of monthly newsletter and provide social media support.
- Conduct regular data-driven assessments of performance, and adjust tactical approach.
- Collaborate with design, website and relevant UNCCD & GLI staff and teams.
- Monitor and flag potential communications risks.
- Maintain an organized digital repository of all social media visual assets and templates.
- Any other associated tasks that are requested.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience managing social media (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn) in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Proven experience managing and growing online communities, fostering engagement, and responding to user enquiries and feedback is required.
- Understanding of brand positioning, with experience maintaining brand consistency across social media platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with producing other communications products (e.g., Mailchimp or Brevo) is desirable.
- Previous experience working with the UN is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor´s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, journalism, law, social sciences or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Hootsuite and Trello are required.
