Overview
Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of cooperation and partnership initiatives. Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation, and prepares written outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of cooperation and partnership initiatives.
- Supports the implementation, monitoring, and assessment of UNSOH partnership initiatives.
- Participates in the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects.
- Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources.
- Assists in policy development.
- Prepares various written outputs.
- Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings.
- Undertakes outreach activities; conducts training workshops, seminars, etc.; makes presentations.
- Participates in or leads field missions.
- Coordinates activities related to budget and funding.
- Liaises with Member States, regional and sub-regional organizations.
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, law, or related area is required.
- Experience in engaging with donors and/or managing institutional and operational support partnership-related programmes in or with an international organization, regional or sub-regional organizations is required.
- Experience in providing strategic, political, or operational advisory support to senior-level officials is required.
- Experience in drafting and preparing policy briefings, analytical reports and papers, as well as high level speeches or statements is required.
- Experience in providing administrative or programmatic support to or in a field operation of an international organization is required.
- Experience in supporting entities in special or non-routine institutional contexts is desirable.
- Experience in liaising with Permanent Missions to the UN, Resident Coordinator Offices, UN Agencies Funds and Programmes or regional or sub organizations in a field location is desirable.
Qualifications
An Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in business administration, management, law, economics or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
