Overview
The Gender Affairs Intern will support the Gender Unit of the Office of Counter-Terrorism in maintaining and developing the Gender Identity Factors Platform (GIFP), its resources, and community, while supporting broader project management tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and upload new resources to the GIFP library.
- Develop concise analyses and summaries for each resource.
- Draft and publish unique content for the GIFP, including blogs, newsletters, and platform updates.
- Track and report web analytics metrics such as page views, downloads, and user engagement.
- Maintain and enhance databases, including member information and resource inventories.
- Assist in drafting reports, tracking finances, and monitoring project deliverables.
- Support the development of concept notes, agendas, and other materials for events and activities.
- Provide support for additional activities as they arise.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent).
- Subject matter should be pertinent to gender studies, women’s studies, international relations, security studies, or related fields.
- Have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
