Overview
The Procurement Assistant performs routine administrative and control functions to support FAO's procurement services, contributing to timely and efficient procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare routine documentation and correspondence related to procurement actions.
- Follow up on purchase orders and contracts.
- Review invoices for accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Report on the status of procurement actions.
- File documents and database records.
- Run periodic reports and take action as requested.
- Ensure data input into systems is accurate.
- Review problems and discrepancies with the supervisor.
- Support corporate initiatives in accordance with the Corporate Environmental Responsibility Strategy.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
Three years of relevant experience in administrative, accounting and/or procurement support work.
Qualifications
Secondary School Education.
