Overview

The National OCOP Specialist will support project implementation through coordination, technical inputs, capacity building, and contribution to analytical, planning, and reporting activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the organization and participation at the project inception workshop.
  • Contribute to the development of the detailed workplan.
  • Contribute to the establishment of the OCOP Coordination Mechanism.
  • Liaise with the international value chain consultant and support value chain analysis.
  • Prepare training materials, organize and participate at trainings/workshops.
  • Assist the development of a draft national strategy/sectoral plan/guidelines/standard.
  • Assist the formulation of concept notes and proposals for resource mobilization.
  • Undertake field missions as and when required.
  • Participate in project workshops, trainings and policy dialogues.
  • Prepare monthly reports on activities undertaken, problems faced and possible solutions.
  • Contribute to the organization of the Final Workshop.
  • Contribute to the draft terminal report of the project.
  • Carry out any other activities relevant to this assignment.
Required Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in training and in sustainable plant production, project coordination, and related fields.
  • Experience with green production of selected SAP in project country would be an asset.
Qualifications

• University degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Agriculture or any other field related to the work of the Organization.
