Overview
The Coordinator of the Programme and Policy Support Unit will be responsible for the coordination of strategic programming, donor liaison, policy initiatives, and strategic partnerships with stakeholders at national, regional, and trans-regional levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design and development of new programmes and projects.
- Ensure the review and endorsement of concept notes, proposals, and donor reports.
- Identify project opportunities based on needs and funding trends.
- Maintain working relationships with donors.
- Represent the CO in donor meetings and liaise with partners.
- Support Project Managers in complying with donor reporting.
- Create and maintain up-to-date donor profiles.
- Coordinate the development and review of the CO’s strategic planning process.
- Produce visibility and presentation materials to support resource mobilization.
- Provide project development and reporting capacity building and training.
- Contribute to resource mobilization efforts by analysing funding opportunities.
- Lead knowledge and information management, research, and data analysis.
- Develop and promote migration policy dialogue initiatives.
- Support policy and liaison functions at government and UN level.
Required Experience
- Five years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s degree; or seven years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
- Experience working in an international organization and knowledge of the UN system.
- Experience in the field of migration issues, project development and design, project implementation, and administrative and financial management.
- Experience in donor relations and grant management.
- Previous experience and knowledge of donor funding mechanisms.
- Experience in project development, donor reporting and technical writing and editing.
- Experience with Results Based Management approach and other strategic planning approaches.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in International Relations, International Development, Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.
