Overview
Supervise and coordinate Information Technology and Communications (ICT) operations in the Country Office, providing technical support and ensuring alignment with IOM's ICT Strategy, policies, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate ICT unit functions.
- Facilitate interaction with country office management and unit heads for ICT solutions.
- Serve as the main contact for ICT business relationships.
- Provide technical support and Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
- Contribute to ICT documents, including SOPs, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
- Coordinate and monitor service delivery and efficiency.
- Liaise with the supply chain unit for ICT equipment procurement.
- Act as the first line of cybersecurity defence and incident responder.
- Represent the country office in UN ICT working groups.
Required Experience
- Master’s degree with relevant professional experience; or Bachelor degree with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in overseeing and management of Microsoft Windows and Serverless networks environment (LAN/WAN) and first-level network/desktop support.
- Experience in a supervisory role and management of ICT functions in an international organization or agency in a field location.
- Experience in planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer information systems.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in cybersecurity compliance and security implementation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of web-based development and other development tools and reporting.
- Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365 cloud-based applications and technologies.
- Experience providing policy advice to senior managers on systems development.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- Bachelor degree in the above fields.
- Certificate in any of the following: Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA), Microsoft Azure certifications, Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) is a distinct advantage.
