Overview
Local Consultant to support with the development of Standard Operating Procedure for Returnees for the Migration and Diaspora Structures at the municipal level.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a gap analysis on the regulatory framework focusing on IMPEs and diaspora engagement.
- Develop operational modalities for Migration and Diaspora Local Community and Business Forums.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on returnees’ reintegration for local level institutions.
- Support stakeholder consultations and moderate forums and workshops.
- Support capacity-building activities and develop training curricula on diaspora engagement.
- Submit deliverables including inception report, draft SOPs, training curricula, and consultancy report.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in the conduct of similar assignments.
- Relevant experience related to migration governance and especially labor migration and diaspora engagement would be an advantage.
- Relevant experience related to local governance would be an advantage.
- Experience in legal documents - drafting, institutional processes analysis, report writing, presentations.
Qualifications
Completed an advanced degree from an accredited academic institution in legal, economic, development studies and other related areas.
