Overview
The consultant will provide technical and operational support for capacity building of healthcare workers in Fiji through POLHN online based learning, focusing on strengthening the CPD system and course recognition.
Key Responsibilities
- Support country level implementation of the project in Fiji, including drafting technical documents, providing on-site support for events, drafting mid-term and final-term project reports, and developing proposals for future funding.
- Support strengthening the CPD accreditation system in Fiji by drafting documents outlining CPD requirements and pathways, supporting consultations with stakeholders, and submitting a proposal for official recognition of POLHN courses.
- Facilitate partnership and collaboration by supporting the establishment of partnerships with Member States, academic institutions, professional bodies, and development partners, and supporting meetings by preparing background documents and documenting outcomes.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in capacity building, health workforce, public health and health policy at national and international level.
- Experience in working with international organizations, desirably WHO, or in a multicultural working environment.
- Experience in working with Fiji and Pacific Island Countries in terms of capacity building, health workforce or health policy.
- Previous experience working with Korea Foundation for International Healthcare-supported projects.
Qualifications
- First university degree in public health, public policy, social science or related field from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Training in capacity development, health workforce, health programme and policy development/management.
