Overview
The Programme Assistant will support the country team in promoting technical cooperation, stimulating interest, and coordinating assistance for health development. The role involves managing correspondence, organizing administrative preparations for meetings, and ensuring technical reports adhere to WHO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and finalize correspondence projects.
- Organize administrative preparation for internal and external meetings.
- Analyze correspondence and requests, highlighting incoming documents and areas requiring action.
- Schedule meetings and take minutes.
- Obtain and verify information documents for meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Ensure technical reports and documents conform to WHO standards.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely processing of correspondence and requests.
- Prepare travel plans and travel requests using GSM.
- Track the implementation of missions' recommendations.
- Provide support to Administration and the Representative's Office.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a recognized public or private institution.
- Experience in administrative support positions within WHO or another UN agency is an asset.
- Experience in Oracle-based systems or another ERP-like system is an asset.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school followed by Administrative training.
- University degree in Business Admiration or related field is desirable.
