Overview

Leads the implementation of the mission’s Migration Management and Operations (MMO) portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives and supporting coherent programme delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and monitoring of operational, administrative and financial aspects of the project.
  • Keep supervisor informed on project implementation status and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in the development of work plans, project budgets, M&E tools and SOPs.
  • Coordinate data collection, verification and analysis, and update information management systems.
  • Coordinate timely preparation and dissemination of project reports.
  • Liaise and coordinate with donors, partners, UN agencies, local authorities and government counterparts.
  • Contribute to planning, development, organization and delivery of capacity building activities.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, working groups and interagency coordination meetings.
  • Participate in the preparation of project proposals and communication products.
  • Supervise and provide training and technical guidance to project staff.
  • Undertake duty travel relating to project implementation and monitoring.
Required Experience
  • Two years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or Master’s degree.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies and NGOs.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience in project management and implementation, preferably in migration management or related fields.
  • Experience in migration management operations, including direct support to field activities or assistance to migrants.
  • Experience in operational planning and oversight of project activities.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Experience in monitoring project progress and preparing quality project reports and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
  • Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
