Overview
The Information Systems Officer (Cloud Engineer) will manage projects involving systems analysis, design, development, and implementation of new systems, and deliver implementation and operationalization of enterprise platforms supporting pension administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects involving feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of new, moderately complex systems.
- Deliver implementation and operationalization of enterprise platforms supporting pension administration and enabling services.
- Deliver end-to-end integration delivery between pension administration systems and enterprise platforms.
- Partner with service management teams to ensure systems are supported through ITIL-aligned processes.
- Support cloud adoption and migration activities.
- Develop detailed system and other functional specifications and user documentation.
- Provide specialized advice to users, analyzing users’ requirements and translating these into new applications.
- Maintain, upgrade or enhance existing user systems; troubleshoot and provide continuing user support.
- Develop and maintain enterprise systems that require integration of many interrelated systems and program elements.
- Organize and perform unit and integrated testing, designing and utilizing test bases.
- Develop training materials, operating and user manuals; train staff in assigned systems.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure appropriate planning and training.
- Research, analyze and evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for their deployment.
- Participate in writing reports and papers on systems-related topics.
- Facilitate communications between UNJSPF and its clients for good client relations.
- Serve as coordinator in the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Handle all aspects of contract administration.
- Provide guidance to, and may supervise, new/junior staff, consultants, etc.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, development, configuration, implementation and maintenance of computer information systems or related area is required.
- At least five (5) years of work experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, ERP Financial Suite (AR, AP, Cash Management, GL) is required.
- Experience supporting financial or pension administration systems within the UN system or comparable public sector/international organization context is desirable.
- At least five (5) years of experience designing and developing scalable and robust integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud or Oracle PAAS solution is desirable.
- At least five (5) years of experience in designing and developing functional requirements and solution architecture in Cloud ERP and ITSM systems is desirable.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
