The Associate Information Systems Officer participates in preparing user requirements, assists in the design, development, and maintenance of reporting dashboards, and undertakes analysis of system modules. The role involves developing enhancements, designing small systems, and managing user acceptance testing.
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in the planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of computer information systems or related area is required. 1 year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable. Experience in the development and configuration of PeopleSoft learning management technologies is desirable. Experience in content management and knowledge management platforms is desirable. Experience in classroom training or facilitation is desirable. Experience in the software development process of the United Nations Common System is desirable.
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is required. A relevant first-level university degree in the above fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A first-level university degree and no experience will be accepted for candidates who have passed the Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P). Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics, or data science programs is an advantage.
