Overview

Leads the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes, operations, and other activities in an assigned functional area. Offers high-level coordination and operational guidance on programme support matters.


Key Responsibilities
  • Offer high-level coordination and operational guidance on programme support matters.
  • Act as the senior focal point between the Office of the Chief of Staff and programme support service providers.
  • Establish accountability frameworks and implement performance-tracking mechanisms.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates assigned programmes/projects.
  • Performs consulting assignments.
  • Researches, analyzes, and presents information.
  • Coordinates the review and analysis of operational issues and trends.
  • Generates service review and feedback initiatives.
  • Organizes and prepares written outputs.
  • Provides substantive backstopping to consultative and other meetings.
  • Initiates and coordinates outreach activities.
  • Leads and/or participates in large, complex field missions.
  • Coordinates activities related to budget funding.
  • Coordinates policy development.
Required Experience

A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, or related areas is required. 2 years or more of experience in data analytics or related areas is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with an additional two years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics, or data science programs is an advantage.

Languages Required
Fluency in one of the working languages of the UN Secretariat, English or French, is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of the other working language (English or French) is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
