Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will support the review of design and construction activities, ensuring projects are on budget and meet quality standards. The role involves incorporating best practices in technical design and construction management, adhering to HSSE and PSEAH standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical support in the analysis of Mechanical Systems Engineering projects, suggesting adjustments when necessary.
- Technical support in monitoring project recipients, providing assistance in Mechanical Systems Engineering.
- Technical support in reviewing project documents and licensing.
- Technical support in reviewing budgets for Mechanical Systems Engineering projects and analyzing change requests.
- Technical support in proposing solutions for the construction of food storage units.
- Support in project execution to ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and plans.
- Participate in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation meetings.
Required Experience
- Relevant experience includes work in mechanical systems engineering, storage systems engineering, or related fields.
- Experience working in multicultural environments or in United Nations system organizations in developing countries is desirable.
- Experience in development or humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, with 2 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related fields allows for the substitution of years of experience.
- Desirable: Recognized professional certification or membership in a mechanical engineering association, at national or international level.
