Overview

The role involves daily media monitoring of geopolitical, security, and safety developments from open-media sources in the South Caucasus and Central Asia to support the United Nations Security Management System process.


Key Responsibilities
  • Produce daily media monitoring reports focusing on the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
  • Submit reports by 12 PM GMT+3 from Monday to Friday.
  • Ensure reports cover significant geopolitical events, security incidents, and safety-related news.
  • Participate in a weekly online meeting with the supervisor.
  • Utilize local open-media sources, including newspapers, online articles, and other publications in local languages.
  • Ensure information is accurate, reliable, and sourced from credible outlets.
Required Experience
  • Prior experience in reporting.
  • Familiarity with the geopolitical landscape, culture, and current events of the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
Other Details
Languages Required
• Proficiency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
• Proficiency in Russian is an asset. • Knowledge of any other language spoken in the South Caucasus and Central Asia is desirable.
