Overview
The HR Coordinator ensures effective and compliant HR operations in assigned DRC Country operations within the WANALA HQ Hub, providing technical guidance and support to implement HR policies and systems consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and support to HR teams and country management;
- Review and ensure compliance of national employees handbooks, salary scales and CO policies with DRC global policies and local labour law;
- Monitor and support the rollout of global HR policies and initiatives in assigned countries;
- Conduct HR compliance audits and develop corrective action plans;
- Build capacity of HR teams and managers on HR policies, processes and systems;
- Lead or participate recruitment processes for senior positions in portfolio countries;
- Support onboarding of senior employees in country operations;
- Contribute to global HR team projects and initiatives.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years' experience in HR, preferably in a multi-country role;
- Proven experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver results;
- Experience training HR employees and managers;
- Experience in an international humanitarian or development organisation (desirable);
- Knowledge of labour law in Francophone West African countries (desirable);
- Experience using an online system for recruitment and working with HR and/or ERP systems (desirable);
- Understanding of cross-cultural HR practices and challenges in field offices (desirable).
Qualifications
• At least a Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration or Social Sciences.
