Overview

Responsible to implement economic recovery activities and provide technical assistance to local partners, ensuring achievement of project objectives, reporting, and coordination with other agencies in Kachin State.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field visits to identify livelihood needs and opportunities, register beneficiaries, and mobilize target communities.
  • Develop yearly and monthly plans for assigned targets.
  • Coordinate with internal and external sectoral teams, finance, supply chain, and HR teams.
  • Implement Economic Recovery (EcRec) activities including CVA, agriculture, livestock, IGA, and financial inclusion.
  • Act as the EcRec focal person in the area and assist with joint monitoring visits.
  • Facilitate logistics and procurement requirements.
  • Contribute to funding proposals and donor reports.
  • Assist in developing monthly cash forecasts and monitoring program budgets.
  • Record activity and output data, update project databases, and collect success stories.
  • Coordinate team planning and review meetings.
  • Provide oral and written monthly updates on EcRec activities.
  • Act as a technical focal point for local partners, authorities, and humanitarian organizations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community representatives, government counterparts, and other humanitarian agencies.
  • Coordinate with EcRec PM and Partnership Specialist to support local partners.
  • Assist in the SGA process and project management with local partners.
  • Provide EcRec technical support and advice to local partners.
  • Visit and meet with local partners regularly to ensure successful funding implementation.
Required Experience
  • At least two years previous experience in similar positions or above.
  • Previous humanitarian experience with an INGOs, or Local NGO.
  • Experience of implementing and monitoring livelihood (EcRec) programmes.
  • Experience of implementing CVA, income generating activities (IGAs), agriculture-based livelihood activities, livestock activities.
  • Experience of monitoring progress of planned programmes and reporting on programme activities.
  • Experience of working and supporting the local partners.
  • Experience of providing technical support and capacity building to partner staff.
  • Experience of working with other relevant stakeholders including local governments, and other NGOs / INGOs.
  • Experience in training people.
  • Experience in working in townships in Kachin and in hard-to-reach locations.
Qualifications
  • Education bachelor’s degree level in a relevant field; in business management, agriculture, animal science, etc.
  • Relevant educational and/or professional backgrounds in either rural/agricultural and/or urban (e.g. income generating activities, small enterprises, vocational skills training, apprenticeship training) livelihood fields is preferred.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with DRC’s Terms of Employment. The position is in Employment Band H-non-management.
