Overview
The purpose of this consultancy is to support UNICEF country offices and national partners in strengthening the generation, interpretation, and use of evidence, particularly through implementation research and other behavioural insight approaches to improve interventions for immunization and related public health priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Panama Centre of Excellence (CoE) in inception, country scoping and prioritization.
- Support intervention design and testing in one country.
- Support intervention review and optimization in 3-4 countries.
- Support capacity strengthening and institutionalization.
- Prepare a final report.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in implementation research, behavioural science, public health, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in the design and application of implementation research and other evidence generation approaches to inform programme improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in behavioural science / behavioural insights approaches applied to public health, especially immunization.
- Experience supporting the design, implementation, and adaptation of people-centred or behaviourally informed interventions.
- Proven ability to generate, interpret, and translate evidence into actionable insights to inform programme design and ongoing adaptation.
- Experience in developing research protocols and supporting ethical review processes.
- Experience working with governments, UN agencies, or international development partners.
Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Social and behavioural science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, public health or another relevant technical field.
