Overview
The Senior IT Project Manager acts as a referent for IT Project Managers, providing methodological and escalation support. The role handles specific programs and large/strategic IT projects from scope to Go-Live, aiming for optimum results compliant with Quality, Time, Costs, and Risks requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform gap analysis of project methodologies and tooling, co-develop target state with IT Project Manager team.
- Lead deployment and change management for new tools and methodologies.
- Assess Concept Notes, provide project plans, resource estimation, and cost evaluation.
- Review initial project assessments (cost evaluation, technical feasibility, risk assessment, expected SLA).
- Define and follow up project plan, deliverables, budget, and risk register.
- Mobilize contributors towards shared objectives.
- Supervise and coordinate internal IS teams, external consultants, or contractors.
- Supervise execution phase, including production of key project documentation and deliverables.
- Provide regular progress status reports.
- Track deviations and lead remediation and optimization opportunities.
- Ensure chosen project methodology is applied (Scrum by default).
- Ensure pre-requisites for Go-Live are met, and provide required training materials and support documentation.
- Participate in IT Project Manager in-boarding.
- Ensure adoption of tools and methodologies by IT Project Managers.
- Support IT Project Managers during project execution, especially for initiation and escalation.
- Participate in procurement process, including bids evaluations.
- Responsible for IT aspects execution of contracts with selected bidders.
- Lead framework agreements life cycle (scoping, consultation, execution, renewal, vendor meetings).
