Overview
The Programme Analyst (Social Participation) will support the implementation of a project with the Municipality of São Paulo, ensuring inclusive participatory processes for urban development plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and support for social participation stages.
- Plan and prepare social participation events, including workshops, public consultations, and public hearings.
- Survey suitable locations for holding events.
- Support the Communications Analyst in developing communication pieces related to events.
- Organize event stages (before, during, and after).
- Participate in regular meetings with UN-Habitat teams and Municipal Government Staff.
- Participate in meetings with institutions and non-governmental organizations.
- Prepare reports of social participation events.
- Organize spreadsheets and documents resulting from contributions made through workshops, consultations, and public hearings.
- Perform other tasks requested by the supervisor.
- Complete indicated courses and training activities, including the BSAFE security course.
Required Experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience providing organizational support and management to social participation related events in Brazil is required.
- Professional experience in developing events, workshops, among others, related to social participation and technical events is required.
- Previous experience within the UN System is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Communication, Public Relations, Social Work, Architecture and Urbanism or related fields is required, or additional three (3) years of relevant experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
- Post-Graduation degree (Latu Sensu or Stricto Sensu) in Administration, Communication, Public Relations, Social Work or related fields is desirable.
