Overview

The Associate Programme Officer will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of designated projects within the Office for Africa (OA), Division of Country Programmes (DCP). The role focuses on facilitating project activities and contributing to programme development.


Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects.
  • Monitor and analyze specific aspects of programme/project development and implementation.
  • Conduct basic research on programmes, operations and other activities.
  • Assist in performing consulting assignments and developing action plans.
  • Participate in survey initiatives, assist with data collection tool design, and analyze responses.
  • Contribute to the preparation of written outputs such as background papers and reports.
  • Provide administrative and substantive support to meetings and conferences.
  • Undertake outreach activities and participate in training workshops.
  • Participate in field missions, providing substantive and administrative support and data collection.
Required Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in project/programme management, administration is required. Experience in SME support or international trade or data analysis is desirable.

Qualifications

A first-level university degree in business administration, management, economics or a related field. An advanced degree (Masters or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field may be accepted in lieu of relevant professional work experience.
