Overview
The National Specialist will support the Mid-Term Review of the "Enhancing water-food security and climate resilience in volcanic island countries of the Pacific" project in Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, and Fiji.
Key Responsibilities
- Review background documentation.
- Contribute to data-collection tools and MTR team's work programme.
- Participate in primary data collection through interviews and meetings.
- Consolidate evidence collected in a structured format.
- Participate in analysis and discussion of evidence to identify findings and formulate conclusions and recommendations.
- Deliver inputs on specific assessment areas to all deliverables, including inception report, debriefing sessions, and draft MTR report.
Required Experience
- 3 years of relevant experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of bi-lateral or multi-lateral funded projects/programmes including either Mid-Term Review or Terminal Evaluation.
- Working experience with UN agencies in the Pacific is required.
Qualifications
• University degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Environment Science/Natural Resources Management/Water Resources Management or related fields.
