Overview

The Reporting and Communications Specialist will develop visibility and informational products for FAO WBGS, enhance messaging to external stakeholders, and support donor relations through content creation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop visibility products (signage, posters, videos, flyers, brochures) in English.
  • Develop informational products (presentations, brochures, infographics, speeches) in English.
  • Capture and develop human interest stories (interviews, photos, videos).
  • Produce and develop outreach messages for social media plans and campaigns.
  • Support donor relations by creating content packages.
  • Compile internal situation reports weekly.
  • Collate information and develop digital assets aligned with FAO’s global key messages.
  • Support the management of external photography and videography consultants.
  • Adapt digital assets into Arabic.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a decentralized office country communication plan.
  • Contribute to the final preparation, consolidation and review of progress/terminal reports.
  • Prepare/edit/revise programme/operational documents.
Required Experience
  • At least two years of professional experience in performing similar functions.
  • Working experience with UN agencies/International organizations is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Advanced University degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Communications, Social/Political Sciences, International Relations or a closely related field.
  • Consultants with bachelor`s degree need two additional years of relevant professional experience.
