Overview

Serves as the strategic lead for Individual Giving, driving growth, innovation, and performance within the Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships team. Provides end-to-end leadership across acquisition, retention, digital, and CRM functions using an audience-first, data-driven approach.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive the overall individual giving strategy, with a focus on growing monthly donors and increasing sustainable income from the general public.
  • Build, guide, and develop the fundraising team by strengthening skills, capabilities, and performance through recruitment, training, and ongoing support.
  • Plan and manage ambitious budgets, forecasts, and action plans, while ensuring clear reporting and alignment with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Strengthen systems and processes that support fundraising delivery, including maximizing the use of donor data and the Salesforce platform.
  • Foster strong collaboration across teams to enhance fundraising opportunities, strengthen the UNICEF brand, and support impactful advocacy and communication efforts.
Required Experience

A minimum five (5) years of relevant and progressively responsible professional work experience in managing an individual donor fundraising programme together with a proven track record in driving income growth; equivalent direct marketing experience in a commercial context will be considered as a qualifying experience. Familiarity with various individual fundraising/ marketing techniques e.g., direct mail, face-to- face fundraising/sales, telephone fundraising/marketing, digital fundraising /marketing; experience in dealing with suppliers and external agencies is required. Previous managerial experience is essential. Significant experience in managing teams to deliver on financial outcomes is required. Proven ability to contribute to effective long-term strategic fundraising plans. Proven ability to implement clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies. Demonstrated ability to identify and seize new fundraising opportunities, formulating new fundraising strategies and models. Demonstrated ability to adjust to unexpected challenges and proposing countermeasures accordingly. Diplomatic negotiation, influencing and networking skills to establish and maintain trusted partnerships and to develop close and effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising and any other related fields. Additional professional qualification in fundraising and/or marketing and/or communications an asset. A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
