Overview

The consultant will prepare Health Cluster analytical reports and visualizations by collecting and consolidating inputs from the Cluster team and available sources, ensuring that the information analyzed informs Cluster decisions. The role provides validated data, analysis, and visuals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Define, collate and conduct trend analysis on quantitative and qualitative data regarding the use of medicines, including OTC kits by health partners.
  • Support needs assessments and severity analysis during Cluster planning.
  • Ensure data quality through validation and cleaning processes.
  • Produce analytic reports and visualizations on analysed data including medicines and gaps identified at the oblast level.
  • Contribute analytical inputs (tables, figures, evidence summaries) to strategic documents (HRP, response plans, cluster strategies) as requested.
  • Support the compilation of data from partners on reporting both on partner’s interventions in collaboration with the sub-national coordinators.
  • Backstop on the verification of attacks of health (in the absence of the focal point) and to update the database accordingly.
  • Contribute with inputs into strategic documents (Response Plan, cluster strategies) being developed by the Health Cluster.
  • Support tracking of key health indicators and Health Cluster performance monitoring, flagging major changes, outliers and emerging issues for Reporting Officer and Coordinators follow up.
  • Backstop production/layout of external information products (when requested/in the absence of the Reporting focal point), using existing templates and cleared content.
  • Update the monthly consolidated Health Cluster indicator monitoring table and supporting dashboards (table updated monthly by the 29th of each month).
  • Produce a bi-monthly “Needs & Gaps” analytical summary brief (1–2 pages) on trends, and key data caveats for reporting use (1 analytical summary produced by the 25th of every second month).
  • Produce a report on the use of medicines/OTC kit analysis report based on partner activities every quarter (2 analyses produced by the end of every 3 months (1 in September and another in December 2026).
  • Produce graphs/charts/maps/infographics to visualize trends for briefs, presentations, and reporting packages in cluster meetings (1 produced bi-weekly, 2 produced in a month).
  • Update the attacks-on-health database entries (during breaks of the focal point) and make inputs into PowerPoint presentations layout support for external products (30 verifications completed and updated in the database/month).
  • Compute the People in Need and people targeted for health as part of the Humanitarian Needs and Response Planning in collaboration with the Health Cluster and UN OCHA for 2026 (1 computation completed by September 2026).
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience:
  • Experience in conducting, participating in and analysing survey findings
  • Experience in designing graphic information management products.
  • Experience and knowledge of in working in the Humanitarian response in Ukraine (Desirable).
  • Experience applying knowledge on the respect of humanitarian principles (Desirable).
Qualifications

• University degree (Bachelor’s) in Statistics or related field (including quantitative and qualitative analysis).
