Overview
Support Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs) in Rwanda to establish and maintain a professional and sustainable digital presence, including developing websites and social media platforms, and training RLO members in digital storytelling and content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop user-friendly training materials and toolkits.
- Design and deliver a five-phase training program for RLOs.
- Provide hands-on mentoring and follow-up support.
- Facilitate Focus Group Discussions to assess RLOs’ needs and digital capacity.
- Assist 20–23 RLOs in setting up low-cost websites and support social media account creation.
- Train RLOs in creating compelling digital content.
- Collaborate with UNHCR External Relations to develop impactful stories.
- Facilitate participatory monitoring activities and feedback sessions.
- Document lessons learned and best practices.
- Maintain regular coordination with relevant UNHCR technical units.
- Submit a final report.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in web development, digital communications, and training delivery.
- Proven experience in using low-resource Content Management System (CMS) platforms.
- Experience working with grassroots or Refugee-Led Organizations is desirable.
- Preferred: Website and social media development for non-profits or community-based organizations.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with open-source or freemium CMS platforms.
- Preferred: User Experience (UX) research and design.
- Preferred: Training and capacity building in digital tools and content creation.
- Preferred: Experience working in humanitarian or development settings.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree, and/or Advanced university degree in Communications, Digital Media, ICT, or a related field.
