Overview

The Project Associate will assist in the implementation of projects in the Country Office, including supporting emergency preparedness and response activities, coordination, reporting, and liaison with partner agencies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of emergency preparedness project activities.
  • Support project coordination mechanisms, including organizing Working Group meetings and following up on agreed actions.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of analytical outputs, reports and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of methodologies, contingency plans, standard operating procedures and approaches.
  • Support the preparation and dissemination of reports.
  • Liaise and coordinate with government entities, implementing partners, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering capacity-building activities.
  • Participate in relevant meetings, conferences, working groups and other coordination forums.
  • Draft reports, briefing notes, meeting minutes and other project documentation.
  • Support budget monitoring and administrative processes.
  • Promote the integration of cross-cutting priorities into project activities.
  • Maintain project records and documentation.
  • Support consultants and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications

• School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
