Overview
Provide unofficial translation and interpretation services in English, Ukrainian, and Hungarian to support persons displaced from Ukraine. Ensure accurate documentation, compliance with data protection, and appropriate referrals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide unofficial translations of documents in English, Ukrainian, and Hungarian.
- Provide interpreting services in English, Ukrainian, and Hungarian.
- Maintain continuous documentation of services provided.
- Register and manage personal data of service users in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Provide regular data reporting to Project Assistant and Senior Project Associate.
- Liaise regularly with Project Assistant and Senior Project Associate.
- Refer vulnerable or high-risk cases to appropriate professionals or external organizations.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 2 years of relevant work experience; or High school Degree/Certificate with minimum 4 years of relevant work experience desirably interpretation/cultural mediation in the framework of migrants’ assistance.
- Experience in interpretation is required.
- Experience in the framework of migrants’ assistance is desirable.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or High school Degree/Certificate.
