Overview
The Programme Associate will support the UNFPA Rwanda Country Office in the implementation of the KURA NAWE program, focusing on empowering young people through Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as secretariat support for technical and Steering Committee meetings, drafting agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action points.
- Assist in monitoring the implementation of Annual Work Plans from Implementing Partners.
- Support the "innovation and technology" component by assisting in the design and rollout of SRHR information platforms.
- Assist in maintaining the database for scholarship beneficiaries and tracking system for school reintegration cases.
- Document lessons learned and success stories.
- Assist in collecting and cleaning data regarding SRHR service uptake and translate it into knowledge-sharing products.
- Participate in field visits to verify the quality of CSE integration and SRHR service delivery, drafting field reports.
- Contribute to drafting quarterly and annual donor reports by consolidating data and narrative inputs.
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder review meetings.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience (including internships or university leadership) in organizing events, taking minutes for multi-stakeholder meetings, and tracking action points.
- Experience working with youth-led organizations or community service projects.
- Proficiency in "data cleaning" and basic statistical analysis.
- Experience using tools like KoboToolbox, Google Forms, or Excel for tracking beneficiaries.
- Foundational understanding of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE).
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Public Health, Social Work, Information Technology, or any other relevant fields (Currently enrolled or recent graduate).
