Overview

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant provides support to quality assurance for UNFPA programmes in Mozambique and contributes to planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the Country Office’s projects and programmes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the roll out of the District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) Project Monitoring Platform
  • Assist in annual work plan (AWP) development, ensuring activities and interventions are correctly linked to output indicators in the corporate system, Quantum Plus
  • Support timely and accurate entry of quarterly milestone monitoring reports into UNFPA’s Quantum Plus, conducting basic quality assurance checks to identify missing or inconsistent data for correction by programme staff.
  • Assist in drafting and consolidating information for quarterly progress reports, annual reports, and donor reports by collecting narrative and quantitative updates from programme teams and implementing partners.
  • Support the collation of baseline and target data for various indicators.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating electronic filing systems and databases for all M&E documents, including project monitoring data, survey reports, and evaluation management responses.
  • Support the documentation of best practices, success stories, and lessons learned from the field to contribute to knowledge sharing and communication materials.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the M&E Specialist or the Programme Coordinator.
Required Experience
  • 1 month Donor priorities . Nationality Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment. Additional eligibility criteria ELIGIBILITY
  • As this assignment is funded by KOICA, specific eligibility criteria apply:
  • - Applicants must be Korean nationals aged between 18 and 29 years at the time of application.
  • - Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or have graduated within the past 12 months at the time of application.
  • - Applicants must not have more than 12 months of relevant professional experience at the time of application.
  • - Individuals who have previously served under a KOICA-funded UN University Volunteer assignment are not eligible.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience (up to 12 months) in results-based management.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in (currently enrolled or recent graduate) Social sciences, Demography, Gender, economics, International Relations, International Development, Public Health, Medicine, or other field directly related to Monitoring and Evaluation.
