Overview
Support the implementation of UNFPA's partnership and resource mobilization plan, and explore financing opportunities with International Financial Institutions and other domestic partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of UNFPA's partnership and resource mobilization plan;
- Prepare and update an inventory and analysis of funding and financing modalities and potential donors;
- Explore opportunities for financing with IFIs and other domestic partners;
- Contribute to the development of concept notes and project documents for resource mobilization;
- Provide technical support for project development, report and donor visibility;
- Build capacity of UNFPA country offices on resource mobilisation and strategic partnerships;
- Assist in the development of country-specific resource mobilisation and partnership strategies;
- Develop specific strategies for exploring South-South and triangular collaboration;
- Facilitate and maintain a database on best practices for resource mobilisation and strategic partnerships;
- Participate in innovation programs and initiatives for resource mobilization and partnerships;
- Disseminate and promote evidence, lessons learned and success stories.
Required Experience
1 month Donor priorities. Demonstrated interest or experience (up to 12 months) in: UN, bi-lateral, international donors/agencies and/or non-governmental organisations; UNFPA programmes and policies, knowledge of international development policies and institutions, international politics an advantage; Working in a development country; UN systems and procedures, management and monitoring tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in (currently enrolled or recently graduated) communication, project management, international relations, public health, economic studies, Law, social sciences, administration.
