Overview
Provides technical leadership in protection information management, including the production, analysis, and use of protection data to strengthen evidence-based programming and protection strategies. Oversees protection monitoring systems, coordinates protection analysis, and leads the implementation of responsive information services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead responsive information services, collaborating with stakeholders to identify information needs, develop information packages, and manage dissemination.
- Coordinate with local organizations and community leaders to implement responsive information activities.
- Utilize the Multi‑Purpose Community Center (MPCC) as an information hub.
- Serve as focal point to manage and maintain system administration for IRC’s digital information tools, social media, and direct communication channels (SignPost).
- Serve as the technical focal for Protection Information Analysis exercises.
- Facilitate regular protection information analysis, including protection monitoring and producing reports.
- Implement protection monitoring exercises, including tool revision, sampling strategies, and data collection methodologies.
- Develop information management plans, including Protection Monitoring and Context Analysis.
- Support the development of position papers and other information products.
- Lead the capacity development of IRC staff and partners on Protection Information.
- Ensure documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and case studies.
- Develop and manage project spending plans for protection information management exercises and responsive information activities.
- Support business development, proposal development, and donor reporting processes.
- Engage with IRC’s Technical Advisor on Violence Prevention and Response Unit for technical support and guidance.
- Analyze trends, risks, and emerging protection issues to inform adaptive programming.
- Work closely with other protection staff to identify partners’ technical capacity-building needs.
- Represent the Protection and Empowerment Program to national and local stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in protection programming, information management, humanitarian analysis or related technical fields.
- Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and reporting, including through the protection analytical framework.
- Proven experience with Canva for designing social media graphics, infographic, and presentation.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into engaging, easy-to-understand infographic.
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients/beneficiaries.
Qualifications
• A university degree in social science, development, humanitarian studies, communication or related fields.
