Overview
Leads the implementation of health programming in Gaza, ensuring quality, timely, and effective delivery across multiple locations. Oversees coordination, monitoring, and capacity strengthening for direct and partner-led interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of health program implementation and monitoring.
- Review partner and directly led program activities for technical quality and alignment with standards.
- Build strong relationships with partner organizations for effective planning and execution.
- Participate in developing country program health strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate field activities through regular meetings and reporting.
- Represent IRC in Technical Working Groups and health cluster meetings.
- Ensure timely preparation of progress reports and work plans.
- Contribute to proposal design and development processes.
- Develop capacities of partners and health staff through building activities.
- Coordinate activities with external actors as needed.
- Ensure project interventions are implemented according to internal and donor regulations.
- Participate in grant opening, midterm review, and grant closing meetings.
- Write and submit quality monthly/quarterly reports.
- Support partners staff in the use of grant management tools.
- Conduct monthly BVA reviews and make recommendations.
- Monitor program implementation against work plans and objectives.
- Conduct regular project review meetings with field-based staff.
- Collaborate with MEAL unit to develop log frames and update quality assurance tools.
- Coordinate with IRC health program partners to design technical workshops and training.
- Develop learning materials to support staff capacity development.
- Support data collection, verification, and analysis for health indicators.
- Review and compile partners’ monthly reports.
- Contribute to documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and inputs for donor reporting.
Required Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in health program management, including health in emergencies, SRH, nutrition and infection prevention and control (IPC). INGO experience is required. Clinical Health background. Understanding of oPt context and health care system. Experience in implementing systems and standards to enhance program quality. Previous experience with implementation through partners is an added advantage. Public health professional is an added advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor level qualification in Health and Social Sciences, International Development, Public Health or a related subject.
