Overview
This internship focuses on podcast strategy and distribution for the Spanish Language Unit, News Section I, Department of Global Communications. The role supports the production and promotion of multimedia content.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of graphic, visual and audio content for social media.
- Assist in posting and strategizing content for social media.
- Conduct benchmarking research on podcasts.
- Analyze best practices across major audio platforms.
- Support the development of optimized episode titles, descriptions, and keyword strategies.
- Assist in developing standardized metadata templates.
- Contribute to the preparation of a distribution roadmap and launch checklist.
- Research and propose key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in designing a basic analytics tracking framework.
- Support documentation of workflows.
- Reviewing the partnerships database.
- Drafting Spanish news articles.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including outreach.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master's or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor's, Master's or PH.D. Programme. A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, Spanish or translation studies (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- OR enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, Spanish or translation studies (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Be computer literate in standard word processing and spreadsheets software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel or similar.
