Overview
The Graphics Design Intern will support visual communication projects by developing high-quality infographics and formatted designs to strengthen the visibility of the United Nations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing themes, infographics, layouts and covers of documents.
- Assist in developing figures, including colours, fonts, graphics and layout, and resulting materials such as Newsletters, brochures, banners, posters, fliers and booklets.
- Assist in creating graphic templates to be used for reports and presentations.
- Assist in preparing printing packages for printing of publications and other communication products.
- Assist in delivering creative and innovative ideas for print, web and interactive presentations.
- Assist in creating animations for illustrative purposes.
- Assist in maintaining templates.
- Assist in providing videography and photographic support.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining photo and video library.
- Any other duties as may be requested.
Required Experience
- Experience in social media management, multimedia content creation, journalism, communications or digital marketing is desirable.
- Experience using graphic design, video editing or social media analytics tools is an advantage.
- Demonstrated interest in international affairs, sustainable development, media, public information or the work of the United Nations is desirable.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
- Have graduated with a university degree in Information Technology, fine arts, Graphic Design, certified degree in CAD (computer-aided design and drafting) software relevant to the production of maps and illustrations is preferable.
