Overview
The consultant will produce specific deliverables related to the planning and implementation of PACT activities within the IAEA's Technical Cooperation Programme, focusing on comprehensive cancer control in low- and middle-income countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce background analysis and write reports on the comprehensive cancer control situation of LMICs.
- Prepare documentation for meetings of experts and stakeholders on comprehensive cancer control in LMICs.
- Contribute to working groups, reports, and country missions within the context of Rays of Hope for childhood cancer.
- Produce documentation, data management tools, and presentations on national comprehensive cancer control planning.
- Analyze and prepare reports on country's progress in cancer control planning.
- Produce updates and analysis of health systems in LMICs as pertains to comprehensive cancer control and childhood cancer.
Required Experience
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in programme development and management, preferably in an international setting and with a focus on health.
- Previous experience in the development of professional service offerings and/or programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation highly desirable.
- Very good understanding of the context and development needs in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in the health and cancer sector.
- Experience in developing data management tools and producing methodologies or related guidance documents for public health institutions.
- Experience in programme or project management in the areas of NCDs, cancer control, and/or childhood cancer; or child health programmes at global, regional or country level.
Qualifications
University degree in public health, health economics, international development, public/business administration or management, or fields related to non-communicable diseases.
