Overview
To provide technical expertise in the implementation of activities in the field of nuclear fusion, plasma science and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Finalize the IAEA-TECDOC Emerging Applications of Plasma Science and Technology for publication.
- Provide technical expertise and input in the implementation of a new Coordinated Research Project F13025 "Advancement of Plasma Science, Technology and Applications".
- Manage the Fusion Portal for the dissemination of the information related to the IAEA's activities in fusion research and development, including creating and developing new content.
- Prepare technical reports from Technical Meetings, Consultancy Meetings and Workshops in the field of nuclear fusion, plasma science and technology.
- Prepare and implement scientific and technical events on topics related to nuclear fusion, plasma science and technology.
Required Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in the nuclear field, which should have been concerned with some aspects of nuclear fusion research.
- Experience in the management of projects including at international level, ideally in nuclear physics, plasma physics, fusion research or related fields.
- Specific knowledge of the technical aspects of fusion research and of the major ongoing national and international activities the field.
- Basic knowledge of the IAEA's fusion activities.
- Experience in managing scientific events with Indico is an asset.
- Experience in creating, managing and developing SharePoint sites is an asset.
Qualifications
• Advanced university degree (masters) in Nuclear Physics, Plasma Physics, Nuclear Fusion or related fields.
