Overview
To perform specialized responsibilities related to security operations, including monitoring and maintaining security equipment, and to compile reports on security threats and risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing security threats and risks and compile reports.
- Review security-related information and provide basic analyses and reports.
- Liaise and coordinate with local authorities, communities, UN/NGO security staff and other actors.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, preparing and conducting field missions and security assessments.
- Prepare detailed security assessment reports with risk mitigation recommendations.
- Assist in formulating advice on security risk management and safety issues.
- Assist in implementation of security risk management mitigating measures.
- Assist in management and maintenance of security equipment.
- Assist in monitoring access control procedures.
- Contribute to the development and update of emergency and contingency planning documentation.
- Assist in identification of security training needs.
- Supervise and provide on-the-job training to other staff.
- Provide any requested security support.
- Attend security coordination meetings.
Required Experience
- Has applied knowledge of security operations technical processes.
- Has supported security operations efforts.
- Has supported in providing ad-hoc technical guidance to staff members.
- To produce security reports according to corporate requirements.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience with a Secondary School Certificate supported by a graduation /diploma from a police or military academy, OR University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor’s) with a minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in security.
Qualifications
- Completion of a secondary school education with a diploma from a police or military academy.
- A university degree and/or graduation from a police or military academy is desirable.
