Overview

The Communications Specialist (Celebrity Partnerships And Campaigns) will support UNICEF's work in Indonesia by developing and managing partnerships with celebrities and influencers to advance children's rights and mobilize resources.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop annual workplans for UNICEF Champions and Ambassadors.
  • Identify, screen, and map potential celebrity and influencer partners.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and activation of celebrity partners.
  • Maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Ambassadors, and Champions.
  • Develop and coordinate KOL-related assets, including briefs, scripts, and newsletters.
  • Provide guidance to KOLs on messaging, safeguarding, and branding.
  • Coordinate KOL participation in advocacy and campaign activities.
  • Support the organization of field visits and events involving KOLs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of celebrity engagement.
  • Provide communication support for public advocacy initiatives and campaigns.
  • Contribute to campaign planning and execution.
  • Support coordination of events and campaign moments.
  • Support engagement of UNICEF non-financial supporters.
  • Support other public advocacy, campaign, and supporter engagement activities.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in communications, public advocacy, campaign management, or public relations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with celebrities, influencers, KOLs, brand ambassadors, or public figures, including coordination, briefing, and relationship management.
  • Strong network and understanding of working with celebrities, including knowledge of the entertainment industry.
  • Proven experience supporting or delivering public campaigns, advocacy initiatives, or communication initiatives, including planning and execution.
  • Experience in content development for diverse audiences and platforms.
  • Experience in event and field activity coordination, including logistics, administrative arrangements, and multi stakeholder coordination is an asset.
  • Familiarity with brand management, ethical communication, and safeguarding standards, preferably within the UN, NGO, or development sector.
  • Experience working with multiple internal teams and external partners in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Prior experience with the United Nations, international organizations, NGOs, or public-interest institutions is a strong asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, tact, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, Social Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
